The Global Robot Expo and HELIXA SUMMIT projects have joined forces in the field of new technologies in the meta-economic environment, and will be held on 30 November and 1 December at IFEMA MADRID. It is precisely the addition in this upcoming GR-EX | Global Robot Expo event of a new area linked to new technologies and the extended reality ecosystem, called GR-EX eXtended Economy, that has led to the inclusion in its programme of the Helixa Summit congress, the event on the new meta-technological economy that will bring together leading national and international experts to share, discuss and explore the changes, challenges and opportunities that companies are facing as a result of the revolution of the new technologies of the meta-economic environment.

This partnership between HELIXA SUMMIT -organised by IFEMA MADRID and IPG Mediabrands, in collaboration with INMERSIVA XR-, and GR-EX | Global Robot Expo -co-organised by Disruptivo Shows Group and IFEMA MADRID- was created to enhance synergies between the different sectors and technologies, adding a new exhibition area called eXtended Economy (XE) which brings together companies developing Extended Reality solutions (VR, AR and XR); IoT, data, blockchain, cloud and cybersecurity operators and integrators; technology economy, digital assets and monetisation, strategic consultancy and marketing agencies; technology and mobility operators; schools and training centres, integrating Helixa Summit with its own identity and as an environment for debate and knowledge.

The areas offered by Global Robot Expo | GR-EX will be as follows:

  • GR-EX Industry: suitable for industry 5.0, automation, logistics and intralogistics and other industrial technologies.
  • GR-EX Robotics: focused on innovation and professional applications in service, terrestrial, aerial and aquatic robotics which are used outside factories.
  • GR-EX Intelligence: specific area on the different capabilities of Artificial Intelligence applied to industry, business, robotics and other professional services.
  • GR-EX Aerospace: an area where new solutions and technologies related to terrestrial and aerial mobility can be found.
  • GR-EX Start Up Summit: a specific event focused on entrepreneurship, investment, startups and open innovation.
  • GR-EX eXtended Economy: the area devoted to the new technological economy ecosystem, where the Helixa Summit will be held.

In addition, GR-EX | Global Robot Expo is leading the ROBOT-CAM project, funded by the Directorate General for Research and Technological Innovation of the Region of Madrid.

GR-EX | Global Robot Expo will be attended by companies such as Qualcomm, Schneider Electric, Fundación ONCE, Hyundai, Fundación Ibercaja, Harmonic Drive, Aaeon, Advantech, Alisys, Tekniker, Proglove, Dobot, Universal Robot and others, as well as top-level speakers such as Clearpath, Qualcomm, Schneider Electric and Hyundai Motor, among others.

For Raul Calleja, the director of Helixa Summit, the participation in GR-EX is a firm commitment by IFEMA MADRID to innovation and the new business ecosystems linked to the new technological economy, creating professional meeting spaces between supply and demand on the road to a change in the economic paradigm. And the director of Global Robot Expo, Enric Forner, states that the expansion and use of XR technologies in the industrial field and other professional services is a phenomenon that has not gone unnoticed by us, which is why including Helixa Summit and its verticals in our event is a logical and natural step. We are convinced that this new proposal will generate many opportunities among our exhibitors and visitors, enriching the capacity to generate business in these meta-economic sectors.
