Iberdrola and IFEMA have joined forces in their strategy to promote electrification of transportation, with the setting up of the first public sustainable parking area available in trade fair facilities in Spain, available to attendees and exhibitors at FITUR and other events at Feria de Madrid, allowing for simultaneous charging of 34 electric vehicles.

The ‘Iberdrola electric charge parking’ which can be used to charge 13,000 electric vehicles per year, provides 100% green energy, from clean generation sources, with guarantees of origin (GdOs) from renewable sources. Based on this use, the prevented emission of CO2 particles to the atmosphere would add up to 226 tonnes per year.

Users of this infrastructure at IFEMA can also charge easily and digitally, through the Iberdrola Public Charge APP, as they can geolocate, reserve and pay through their smartphone.
