On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January, FITUR transforms into the great celebration of global tourism, bringing the travel experience directly to visitors.

The 46th edition of the International Tourism Fair ends its first three days, dedicated exclusively to the industry professionals, with a positive balance that reflects an excellent year for tourism and forecasts continued growth in 2026.

After three business-focused professional days, FITUR opens its doors to travellers over the weekend, who will be able to explore a wide range of destinations thanks to the participation of 161 countries, 111 of them with official representation, as well as enjoy a varied programme of activities organised by exhibitors.

This opening to the general public strengthens FITUR’s position as a global showcase for tourism and as a direct meeting point between destinations, companies and end travellers. With Mexico as Partner Country, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January, FITUR 2026 will offer a dedicated programme for visitors, featuring experiential activities, cultural presentations, gastronomic offerings and interactive spaces that bring the diversity and richness of global tourism closer to the public.

Highlights of this edition include a replica of the newly inaugurated Grand Egyptian Museum located between Halls 2 and 4; the 16th Minube Travellers’ Gathering in Hall 10, bringing together more than a thousand attendees with Nico Abad as master of ceremonies and Kandy García, known as ‘the backpacking granny’, as special guest; FITUR free tours led by Civitatis; the traditional FITUR Cruises gymkhana; as well as numerous musical performances, regional dances, gastronomic tastings, craft workshops, and a variety of competitions and prize draws.
