In its quest to offer new content and tools to boost and reactivate the tourism industry, FITUR 2021, the major annual event for worldwide tourism professionals, organised by IFEMA to be held from 20 to 24 January at Feria de Madrid, will include TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY, an area that will bring together technology at the service of tourism as well as suppliers of technology and innovative solutions for the next generation of travel.
The TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY content will be presented in Hall 8, along with a product presentation programme offered by the exhibiting companies, discussion tables and conferences. Specialised content that will highlight technology as the key to the future of tourism companies and as one of the factors that will set the main travel trends for the coming years.
Technological advances are major players in the ongoing transformation of the tourism industry. This is also shown in the data provided by FITUR, which in the last four editions recorded a considerable increase in exhibitors specialising in technology for tourism.
Alongside this section, other FITUR areas will keep their content related to new technology and innovation, such as the FITURTECHY section which, organised in collaboration with the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero (ITH), will highlight the digital transformation that is essential for the growth and advancement of the sector, from the standpoint of destination, business, sustainability and the future horizon. Technology and sustainable tourism related to the development of smart tourism destinations will also be shown at FITUR KNOW-HOW & EXPORT, an initiative promoted by SEGITTUR and FITUR, in collaboration with ICEX, España Exportación e Inversiones, which again will have its space at FITUR 2021.
