Aragon will be promoting sustainable tourism, snow, the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James) and gastronomy at the next edition of FITUR, Tourism Recovery Special, from 19th to 23rd May, at Feria de Madrid. This region’s stand will be dynamic and interactive, to highlight the region’s main tourist attractions. Visitors will be able to interact with dynamic and innovative content, to experience its tourism attractions almost for real.
Aragon’s stand at FITUR will focus on sustainable tourism, snow, the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James) and gastronomy. It will highlight nature, respect for the environment, snow (one of Aragon’s star tourism attractions), and the Camino de Santiago as a place for hiking and religious experience, nature experiences, and encounters with the region’s unique heritage.
Last year Aragon already focused on sustainability and inland tourism with a diverse programme of activities, presentations and its stand decoration. Highlights were the gastronomic cookery demonstrations, an innovative snowball escape game, and the design of the stand itself with artificial snowflakes falling across it. It also had a 30-metre zip line to represent those in Aragon at Hoz de Jaca (Huesca) and Fuentespalda (Teruel) and the one planned for Fiscal (Huesca). All this work was rewarded with the prize for the best stand in the Autonomous Communities (regions) and Institutions category.
