Madrid’s hotel sector is getting ready for FITUR’s Tourism Recovery Special, from 19th to 23rd May, with maximum protection for Fair attendees. On the one hand, the Madrid Hotel Business Association (AEHM) member hotels are aware of the importance of health protection for promoting the tourism industry and are committed to complying with strict protocols for guests and employees. They are taking stringent measures to comply with the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE) guidelines and recommendations and recommendations and implementing their own health and safety contingency plans and best practices at their premises.
In addition, some of IFEMA MADRID’s partner hotels have adopted additional provisions for FITUR attendees, which include different protection scenarios. Specifically, in addition to the standard protocols, Novotel Campo de las Naciones, Meliá Avenida de América and Hotel Silken Puerta Madrid will offer the additional service of accommodating FITUR customers in grouped rooms located in a reserved area. Princesa Plaza Madrid and Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid will offer FITUR clients accommodation in reserved rooms and common areas. They will also require a negative COVID test for all persons (including hotel staff) entering these reserved areas.
Exhibitors and visitors must also provide proof of a negative Covid test result to gain access to FITUR during the trade days (19th, 20th, and 21st May).
