Fitur Know-How & Export, An Edition To Remember
There were fourteen panel discussions about sustainability, digitalisation and smart destinations, sustainable development objectives and innovation applied to tourism, and ten workshops in SEGITTURLab. In addition, there were several partnership agreements with the Consell de Mallorca, the Government of Cantabria and Basquetour to promote the smart destination model, and INCIBE (Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute) to implement actions to improve cybersecurity in tourism businesses.
The Fitur Know-How & Export section held its ninth edition in the context of FITUR’s “Tourism Recovery Special.” An edition that we will never forget, one that has been a starting point for the revival of the tourism sector. Twenty companies took part in this edition, compared to 32 last time: a great success considering the difficult situation at present. But all of them agree that it has been a very useful edition. Although the business meetings were fewer, they were more productive, as the attendees made agreements and were able to dedicate more effort to promoting their technology solutions for businesses and tourist destinations.
This section aroused much interest and was visited by the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, the Secretary of State for Tourism, Fernando Valdés, and the High Commissioner for Spain as an Entrepreneurial Nation, Francisco Polo, among others.
