Aragon will showcase sustainable tourism, snow and gastronomy at FITUR 2020

At FITUR 2020, Aragón will offer various tourism products, focused primarily on sustainable tourism, snow, gastronomy, modernity, technology and innovation. According to the Regional Government of Aragón, the autonomous community’s stand at the trade fair will promote tourism of the highest quality and endorse sustainability.

Sustainable tourism will be the core concept promoted at the region’s stand at FITUR 2020. ‘Our territory offers a vast range of natural environments, including the Aragón Pyrenees, with a unique high mountain enclave of exceptional beauty and biological wealth; the Sierra de Guara, with its stunning canyons and trails; the mountain ranges of Teruel and Matarraña, typically Mediterranean; Maestrazgo and Rodeno in Albarracín; the Moncayo massif in Zaragoza; and the desert area of Los Monegros,’ according to the Regional Government of Aragón.

Snow is another distinguishing feature, considered one of the star products in Aragón’s tourism sector. ‘Our seven ski resorts and over 377 kilometres of pistes position us as the second largest snow-covered area in the whole of Europe, so promoting it is a fundamental aspect for us, especially at the time of year when FITUR is held. Alongside this, Aragón has 9 different cross-country skiing areas and numerous après-ski activities for the whole family, so these snow products will also be reflected at our stand’.

Aragón’s stand at the trade fair will have a modern design, with an avant-garde theme and elements related to technology and innovation. ‘The modernity associated with the latest tourism trends is a component that will be reflected in the overall concept of the stand, which will be noticeable to visitors at first glance’.

The stand will also feature Aragonese gastronomy, with a tantalising range of sensations, colours, aromas and flavours. ‘Our stand will have a space separate from the main area, where we can offer culinary presentations with samples of gourmet food and wine tasting, with a wide range of links to restaurants and the world of gastronomy in general’.
