Trasmed is a Spanish shipping line part of the Grimaldi group. It transports passengers and goods on the routes between Barcelona and Valencia and the Balearic Islands.

This is Trasmed’s first year at FITUR. It will be officially presented to the market alongside Grimaldi Group, a world leader in maritime transport.

Trasmed will be present at FITUR from 19th to 23rd January 2022 at IFEMA MADRID to present its maritime routes between mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands.

Trasmed is a Spanish shipping line part of the Grimaldi group. It transports passengers and goods on the routes between mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands: from Barcelona and Valencia to Mahón, Palma, Alcudia, Ibiza and Formentera. The company’s operational base is Valencia. It was founded in July 2021 when Armas Trasmediterránea’s assets were sold to the Grimaldi Group.

A few months later, it began refurbishing the fleet’s five ships and has carried out maintenance work. It has equipped the ferries with free Wi-Fi and has launched a new website. It has obtained the pet-friendly shipping company certification from the hand of FAADA (Foundation for Animal Defence Advice & Action). Having a modern and sustainable fleet and improved passenger services will be two of the company’s objectives for 2022.

This is Trasmed’s first year at FITUR. It will be officially presented to the market alongside Grimaldi Group, a world leader in maritime transport. Its takeover by the Italian group opens the door to new synergies with other passenger lines in the Mediterranean, including those operated by Grimaldi Lines linking Barcelona with Porto Torres (Sardinia) and Civitavecchia (Rome). The Italian group owns 130 ships operating in 130 ports in 47 countries on four continents and manages 21 terminals worldwide with its cargo and passenger services.
