Organised by IFEMA, the second edition kicked off last 18th of May and will today close its doors on a positive note

The fair, which has received around 10,000 visitors, particularly stood out for the quality of the collectors and works, the increase in professional visitors and the sales volume achieved.

Once again, the city and its institutions dedicated their full attention with events and exhibitions in the main museums, galleries and collection venues.

Following the close of the second edition this afternoon, ARCOlisboa is getting ready for a new event in 2018.

ARCOlisboa, organised by IFEMA, will open to the public from 18 to 21 May in the Cordoaria Nacional

Following the success of last years’ event, ARCOlisboa 2017 inaugurates its second edition amidst the support of galleries, collectors and professionals from the international circuit.

A total of 58 galleries from 13 countries will take part in this edition, 50 of which form part of the General Programme while 8 are included in the new Opening programme, dedicated to young galleries under seven years old.

To coincide with Lisbon’s nomination as the Ibero-American Capital of Culture 2017, the Meeting of European and Latin American Museums will be held in Portugal for the first time.

The Fair enjoys the support of the Fundaçao EDP, Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, EGEAC, Turismo de Portugal and Turismo de Lisboa, in addition to other private institutions and entities.

Following the success of ARCOlisboa’s first edition, the International Contemporary Art Fair of Lisbon returns with high expectations to its venue in the Cordoaria Nacional. This second edition, organised by IFEMA, will take place from 18 to 21 May.

Organised by IFEMA, the fair inaugurated its first edition last 26 of May and will close its doors today.

On its first edition, the fair received over 12,800 visitors and was welcomed as the cultural and contemporary event of the Portuguese capital.

Its next edition will be held in the second half of May 2017, a gathering of particular importance as it will coincide with the nomination of Lisbon as the 2017 Ibero-American Capital of Culture.
