What is ARCOlisboa?
ARCOlisboa is the Portuguese international contemporary art fair that will celebrate its 8th edition in 2025. From May 29 to June 1, ARCOlisboa 2025 will turn the city of Lisbon into the essential meeting point for collectors, gallerists, artists, and professionals from around the world. The Cordoaria Nacional will once again be the venue where the galleries and projects selected by the Organizing Committee will be presented, along with the content chosen by the curatorial teams.
The General Programme, core of the fair, will bring together national and international galleries, whose projects stand out for the commitment to the quality and excellence of their artistic content. Additionally, ARCOlisboa will host its two main curated sections: As formas do Oceano (The Shapes of the Ocean), curated by Paula Nascimento and Igor Simões, which will showcase projects and artists that reflect on the relationships between Africa and its diaspora in other parts of the world. On the other hand, Opening, curated by Sofía Lanusse and Diogo Pinto, will bring new artistic languages and spaces to the fair, promoting discovery and research.
ARCOlisboa 2025 will open its doors on May 29, with a day dedicated to professionals from the sector, and, from May 30, it will welcome the general public.
