Official Opening of ARCOlisboa 2026

ARCOlisboa 2026 was officially opened this afternoon at the Cordoaria Nacional, attended by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Margarida Balseiro Lopes; the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas; and the Director of ARCOlisboa, Maribel López, among other authorities.
Until May 31, thousands of visitors are expected to attend Portugal’s leading international contemporary art fair, which brings together 83 galleries from 17 countries, including 30 Portuguese and 53 international galleries.
Organised by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with the Lisbon City Council, ARCOlisboa 2026 is structured around three main sections and also features a parallel programme of exhibitions, talks and presentations. With the aim of making contemporary art more accessible to younger audiences, free admission will be offered to visitors under 25 on May 29 and 30, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
