Organized by IFEMA MADRID and Brand Communications, and promoted by Fenin, it will be held from June 24 to 26 at IFEMA MADRID.

It is organised by IFEMA MADRID and Brand Communications, and promoted by Fenin and offers a highly topical scientific programme. It will also host the Fourth VP20 Dental Management Excellence Forum and the SEPES DIGITAL ACADEMY symposium.

This will be the first major multidisciplinary congress of the dental sector, held next 24th to 26th June. It will bring together experts and professionals in a forum for training and information on the latest advances to improve the business activity of clinics, patient care and oral health care.

There will be practical workshops to complete the Congress content where attendees can try out new products and interact with professionals and product presentations in the Auditorium of Hall 9. In parallel, there will be a busy commercial area with leading companies presenting the latest innovations and technologies in a comprehensive range of equipment for dental clinics and laboratories and training sessions.

It will be the first congress with fully sustainable production, using a completely sustainable modular stands system, recycled carpeting and canvas, with all materials printed with latex inks, electric forklifts and offsetting the carbon footprint generated by the event’s production, all organised by the specialised company 4ForEverything.

IFEMA MADRID, in partnership with the agency Brand Comunicación, is organising the first multidisciplinary congress, EXPODENTAL SCIENTIFIC CONGRESS. The Congress will take place on 24th, 25th and 26th June at the North Convention Centre and Hall 9 of the Exhibition Centre. It brings together leading experts and professionals from the dental sector in a scientific and educational forum focussing on the knowledge and satisfying information needs of professionals faced with constant technological progress in this advanced and highly innovative industry.

The Congress is promoted by the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (Fenin). It will offer the whole community of odontologists, orthodontists, maxillofacial surgeons, laboratory technicians, clinical assistants, and dental hygienists an opportunity to learn about innovative treatments, technologies and the latest scientific content. The Congress is backed by the participation of the different scientific societies, each with its own track: SEPA, Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration; SEPES, Spanish Society for Stomatological and Aesthetic Prosthesis, SEDO, Spanish Society of Orthodontics, AEDE, Spanish Association for Endodontics, SEOP, Spanish Paediatric Dentistry Society, and; SECOM, Spanish Society of Oral and Maxillofacial, Head & Neck Surgery, and SECIB, the Spanish Society of Oral Surgery. Also participating and adding value with their support and collaboration will be Spain’s Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health of the Madrid Region, the General Council of Dentists and the dental industry.

Together with Professor Dr Jaime Gil and Dr Nacho Rodriguez as chair and vice-chair and coordinators of the Scientific Congress, these organisations will ensure a programme of first-rate content and participation by leading Spanish speakers.

The format of EXPODENTAL SCIENTIFIC CONGRESS has been structured in four tracks, which will take place in morning and afternoon sessions on 25th and 26th June (Friday and Saturday). These tracks will be led, respectively, by SEPA, focusing on the new Periodontitis treatment guide adapted from the European Federation of Periodontology and will run a joint session with SEPES, which will coordinate a track focusing on Prosthetics, Aesthetics and Digital Technology. In addition, SEDO will deal with the subject of Orthodontics and Aligners, and AEDE, the block on Endodontics.

The activities at EXPODENTAL SCIENTIFIC CONGRESS will also include the Fourth VP20 Forum on Excellence in Dental Management. Programme for AUDITORIUM Hall 9

In parallel to all this, there will be a busy commercial exhibition area in Hall 9 of IFEMA MADRID. The exhibition will feature around 95 companies’ offerings to allow attendees to discover and try some of the products and solutions of this highly innovative industry. It will showcase technological advances, digital transformation and comprehensive equipment for clinics and dental laboratories, among many other proposals for improving dental work and the quality of service to patients. Sustainability will also be a central theme for many of the stands, along with solutions for communications, marketing and business management and the professional training that the sector always needs.

Fully Sustainable Congress

Sustainability will play a fundamental role in the dental sector’s scientific congress. The Congress is being organised in partnership with specialists 4ForEverything, to produce this event covering more than 3000 sq m. We will be using Aluvision’s modular stand system, which is fully sustainable and certified as a Sustainable Resource for events by Eventsost because it is reusable, making it even more circular. In this way, we aim to collaborate to promote the circular economy to avoid generating waste, consuming virgin materials, and encouraging recycling and reuse.

Other measures include recycled carpeting throughout the site, recycled canvas covering for the modular structures, printing all materials with latex inks, no waste generation and no toxic substances, and using electric forklifts for assembly.  To complement these actions and complete our intervention, we will offset the carbon footprint of the event’s production work. We will do this through the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation Spain by planting twenty trees at a reforestation project in the Yucatan Peninsula. This action will be complemented by an environmental and climate education activity aimed at young people between 10 and 16 years of age to be carried out in Spain.

These actions are part of EXPONDENTAL SCIENTIFIC CONGRESS integration with IFEMA MADRID’s Sustainability Strategy through its Sustainability Plan. This Strategy covers all its business activity and all the events it organises at its Trade Fair Centre.
