ARCOmadrid fosters business patronage

Right from the beginning, one of ARCOmadrid’s objectives has been to foster collecting, the promotion of artists and to facilitate contacts that help inject dynamism into purchases at the Fair. According to the Report on the Spanish art market, by Clare McAndrew for the Fundación Arte y Mecenazgo two years ago, the impact of ARCOmadrid on Spain’s art market represents 60 por ciento of the total sales generated in art fairs in the country, bearing in mind that 33 por ciento of the sector’s overall sales are made at fairs.
