ARCOmadrid 2026 opens the call for its General Programme

ARCOmadrid is beginning to outline the content of its 45th edition, which will be held from 4 to 8 March 2026.

The International Contemporary Art Fair is officially opening the application period for participation in the General Programme, the core of the fair. Interested galleries may submit their proposals until 18 September 2025.

Faithful to its commitment to the creation and promotion of new opportunities for participating galleries, ARCOmadrid continues to consolidate its position as a key meeting point between the artistic community, collectors and industry professionals at an international level. Once again, the fair will continue to be a benchmark in the contemporary art market, bringing together high-quality works and a specialised audience. 

Alongside the main section, open to all galleries that meet the requirements outlined in the regulations, ARCOmadrid will again host different curated programmes. 

2026 marks the fair’s 45th Anniversary, with ARCO2045 as its central theme. It will be presented through two curated sections within the fair, curated by José Luis Blondet and Magalí Arriola.

The curated sections will once again play a prominent role in the configuration of ARCOmadrid. The Opening. New Galleries section, curated by Anissa Touati and Rafa Barber, will bring together a selection of galleries with less than eight years of activity. Meanwhile, the Profiles / Latin American Art project, curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy, will renew ARCOmadrid’s historic link with the Latin American art scene.

As in previous editions, the curated sections will play a prominent role. Opening. With this new edition, ARCOmadrid reaffirms its role as an international platform for the promotion and discovery of contemporary art, and as a key meeting point for gallerists, artists, collectors, curators and institutions.
