

Awards at ARCOlisboa 2025
National and international institutions and companies share the support and recognition of artistic creation at ARCOlisboa, through the sponsorship of art awards.
FUNDAÇÃO MILLENNIUM BCP AWARD FOR BEST BOOTH
In 2025, the Madrid-based gallery Travesía Cuatro received the Fundação Millennium bcp Award for Best Booth at ARCOlisboa. In this third edition of the award, the jury, composed by Antonia Gaeta and Diego Sileo, praised the creativity, innovation and quality of the winning gallery’s presentation.
The Fundação Millennium bcp’s award reinforces its commitment to contemporary art, promoting excellence and originality in the presentation of works of art. By supporting this initiative, the Foundation reaffirms its role in promoting artistic talent and driving the vitality of the art market in Portugal and beyond.
OPENING LISBOA AWARD 2025
ARCOlisboa has awarded the sixth Opening Lisboa Award. The jury was composed of Etienne Bernard (Director of FRAC Bretagne), Ana Botella (Curator at the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum), Fernanda Brenner (Artistic Director of PIVÔ), Julia Coelho (Independent Curator), Jessie James (Director of Walk & Talk), Cedric Fauq (Cchief Curator at the CAPC Musée d’art contemporain Bordeaux), and has recognised the gallery Enhorabuena Espacio for the freshness of the dialogue between artists Venuca Evanán and Fátima Rodrigo, whose work alternates between a critical reexamination of traditional Peruvian artistic practices and a contemporary exploration of the issues surrounding Latin American modernism.
In addition, the Method Gallery received a special mention for its remarkable rigour in showcasing three South Asian voices: Ammama Malik, Shivangi Kalra and Sajid Wajid Shaikh.
ACQUISITION AWARD OF THE STUDIOLO COLLECTION - CANDELA A. SOLDEVILLA
At ARCOlisboa 2025, the Studiolo Collection - Candela A. Soldevilla granted its Acquisition Award to the work by Leonor Serrano Rivas (Carlier | Gebauer gallery) and Jorge Queiroz (Bruno Múrias gallery). The award was given owing to their recognition, promotion and support of contemporary art.
MACAM ACQUISITION AWARD
Following its inauguration in Lisbon in March 2025, MACAM - Museu de Arte Contemporânea Armando Martins has, for the first time, awarded the MACAM Acquisition Award. The piece selected was a work by Glenda Leon (Max Estrella Gallery), which will be incorporated into the museum’s permanent collection. This award underlines MACAM’s commitment to the promotion of contemporary art and its role as a dynamic bridge between artists and audiences around the world.
MEXTO ACQUISITION AWARD
The MEXTO Property Investment Acquisition Award was presented to the artist Ana Malta, from the This is not A White Cube gallery. The piece will become part of its collection.
