IFEMA is working at full speed to return to normality and regain the pace of activity prior to the health crisis. All its efforts are being directed toward in-person fairs and thus reclaiming its role as one of the great actors in business revitalisation and the economic reactivation of the city of Madrid thanks to the significant impact of business tourism.

Recent promising news is shedding light on the gradual resumption of activity in a key sector in terms of economic recovery. In March 2021 it will take place the online events INTERSICOP LIVEConnect, throughout the whole month, and the Education Week LIVEConnect (AULA, Postgraduate Forum and Continuing Education, RED Congress INTERDIDAC and EXPOELEARNING).

For its part, the month of May also returns to normal with the announcement of the great event on building and construction solutions, ePower & Building, that brings together the Veteco, Construtec, Bimexpo, Archistone, Matelec, Matelec Lighting and Matelec Industry shows, in addition to GENERA, International Energy and Environment Fair, to be held in parallel; ARCOlisboa; the benchmark event in digitisation for companies, DES-Digital Enterprise Show, and the great event of the world tourism industry, FITUR, International Tourism Fair, which is held this year under the prism of the economic recovery which is so necessary for this vital sector for the economy, and which is exceptionally changing its dates to the month of May this year. This will temporarily mark the end of the month's activities, one which is of great importance in the Madrid calendar for lovers of art and antiques, and which includes FERIARTE Edición Especial, with its annual event also scheduled for May.

June also features an extensive programme. The month will see the Salón del Vehículo de Ocasión y Seminuevo used car fair, the Environment and Sustainability Forum, FSMS, which includes TECMA, Forum of Cities and SRR; TRAFIC, International Safe and Sustainable Mobility Exhibition, Eco Living Iberia and Organic Food Iberia, which are held in parallel and IBERZOO + PROPET, which attracts a significant international presence; the EXPODENTAL Scientific Congress, which this year will be attended by foreign professionals, and Gamergy. July will also see the return of ARCOmadrid, which has changed its dates and its content, moving to July in order to offer the best guarantees of mobility and safety to galleries, collectors and international visitors attending this great contemporary art event in its 40th year.

The list of confirmations which IFEMA currently has for the return after the summer includes the MOMAD, DIGICOM and PROMOGIFT fairs in September, which this year will be coming together in order to reinforce cross-sector synergies; EXPOFRANQUICIAInternational Gift Week (INTERGIFT, BISUTEX and MADRIDJOYA), 100x100 MASCOTA and the MBFWMadrid catwalk event. October will see the economically-significant FRUIT ATTRACTION, this time and in-person that will attract a significant number of visitors from throughout Spain and abroad as well as representatives from the international fruit and vegetable sector. This will be followed by LIBER, 1001 BODAS, ESTAMPA, SALÓN LOOK and BIT MEDIA, dedicated to professional audiovisual technology.

Shows, concerts and leisure events will also be added throughout the year.

As a new development 2021 will see the inclusion of digital content and services at a number of fairs, which will complement and enrich the fair's in-person content, given the good results achieved during the remote fairs that IFEMA has held during the Covid crisis.
