Performance also strengthened in odd-numbered years, with revenue up 22% on 2023, a comparable year due to the calendar of its biennial trade fairs. Net profit rose by 165, 8%, while EBITDA increased by 56.8% to €42.8 million.

In 2025, all its major events, led by FITUR and FRUIT ATTRACTION, made substantial gains as part of a very busy programme of activity that included several 700+ events.

IFEMA MADRID has shown its 2025 financial results, following approval by its Governing Board, reporting revenue of €216.8 million and €18.7 million profit. These figures represent a fresh boost to the company’s growth: revenues are 22% higher than in the previous odd-numbered year (2023), net profit has risen by 165,8%, and EBITDA stands at €42.8 million, meaning a 56.8% increase.

IFEMA MADRID’s growth has been driven by the strong performance of its flagship trade fairs and a significant increase in exhibition space sales. In 2025, net exhibition space rose by 28% compared with 2023, a comparable year, reaching 1,371,990 square metres. The programme brought together 27,670 exhibiting companies, with international participation continuing to grow and foreign exhibitors now, accounting for more than 22% of the total. Overall, the 2025 calendar included 75 trade fairs, 24 of them also offered in digital format; 14 congresses; 4 international fairs held abroad; 46 large-scale leisure events and 566 conventions among others.

In the words of the President of IFEMA MADRID’s Executive Committee, José Vicente de los Mozos, these figures “confirm the excellent progress of the business, strengthen Madrid’s position as a global reference for fairs, congresses and conventions, and support the organisation to tackle major projects such as F1 “.

Trade Fair Business Growth

2025 has established IFEMA MADRID’s leadership in organising fairs in Spain, with a 24% share of the whole national market, ahead not only of other national trade-fair institutions but also ahead of the major private operators in Spain.

For instance, during FITUR 2025, 9,500 companies from 156 countries joined the event, up 10% on 2024 with 255,000 visitors. ARCOMadrid 2025 retained its status as a benchmark fair for contemporary art worldwide, featuring 214 galleries from 36 countries and drawing 95,000 attendees. A separate mention, for its consolidation as a global benchmark, goes to FRUIT ATTRACTION 2025, which featured 2,485 exhibiting companies from 64 countries and more than 120,000 visitors, meaning a 13% increase on its previous edition. Similarly notable was the latest the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation, (also known as SIED, Spanish acronym of SEMANA INTERNACIONAL DE LA ELECTRIFICACION Y DESCARBONIZACIÓN), which brought together the GENERA and MATELEC fairs, drawing 800 exhibiting companies and over 57,000 visitors from 76 countries. This represents a 46% rise over the 2024 edition. Meanwhile, MOTORTEC 2025, the leading fair for the automotive aftermarket, hosted 710 exhibitors and more than 65,500 visitors from 80 countries, up 47% over the 2022 edition.

The main new addition in 2025 was the launch of PRIVEL, the first trade fair in Spain dedicated to the private-label or own-brand industry, organised in partnership with Alimarket. It attracted 4,873 professionals from 46 countries, featuring 269 exhibiting companies.

IFEMA’s Financial Reports shows that the event mix at IFEMA MADRID is evenly balanced between capital goods fairs, accounting for 44% of activity, and consumer events at 45%, while services make up 11%. Essentially close to 90% of revenue comes from the core fairs and congresses business.

Meanwhile, IFEMA MADRID persisted to expand its digital agenda, staging digital fairs alongside its main exhibitions to extend the reach of its events. In 2025, there were 24 digital events, with a community of buyers and professionals exceeding 370,657 users, an increase of 27.4% on 2023. This was carried through LiveConnect, IFEMA’s native platform designed to extend the reach of its professional fairs and drive business activity across different economic sectors.

Internationalisation

Further progress of IFEMA MADRID’s international operations was another notable achievement in 2025, particularly during the second edition of FRUIT ATTRACTION SÃO PAULO, organised last March in partnership with Fiera Milano Brasil. This fair increased exhibition space by 66% compared with its previous edition.  In May, ARCOlisboa held its eighth edition, claiming its place on the international contemporary art circuit. The 4th edition of MOTORTEC CHILE took place in June with GL‑FISA Events, and the international calendar concluded at the end of August in Colombia with ESS+ powered by SICUR, organised together with local operators PAFYC and Corferias.

International attendance at Madrid-hosted fairs remained well diversified. Visitors from the European Union made up 48% of the total, with Central and South America contributing 20%. North America accounted for 9%, while the rest of Europe and Asia each represented 8%, and Africa 7%.

International growth has been backed by a wider global network of IFEMA MADRID delegations, now covering 47 countries compared with 30 previously, and by new offices across India, the Middle East, Scandinavia and Southeast Asia.

Congresses and conventions

During 2025, IFEMA MADRID has once again proven its highly competitive and distinctive position as a leading professional venue for hosting major international gatherings. The IFEMA MADRID’s MICE sector staged 14 congresses, which brought together more than 63,000 professionals from around the world. Notable events included the European Urology Congress, which chose Madrid as its venue for the third time and attracted 10,000 attendees, and the World Congress of Cardiology, which drew nearly 30,000 specialists from across the globe. Also noteworthy were SAP SAPPHIRE, SAP’s flagship event, which drew 7,000 attendees, and the Amazon Web Services Summit, which attracted 9,000 delegates.

Sustainability

Investment in sustainability remained a key pillar of IFEMA MADRID’s performance in 2025, with total expenditure of €49.6 million, facing extraordinary projects such as: a photovoltaic scheme, lighting modernization, additional lorry parking and upgrades to catering facilities.

Considering IFEMA MADRID’s environmental commitment a complete study in the subject was carried out: IFEMA’s carbon footprint was appropriately measured during 2025 across three scopes: direct emissions, indirect emissions from energy use, and other indirect emissions such as transport, travel and external services. This measurement has been carried out for nearly half of the events including flagship fairs such as FITUR, FRUIT ATTRACTION and ARCOmadrid. The study concluded that IFEMA MADRID managed to achieve a 90% reduction in carbon emissions over the past nine years.

These measures were reinforced by recycling 88.76% of all waste, supplying 100% certified green electricity across all facilities, and using fully recyclable carpets at fairs.

These efforts build on significant reductions achieved over the past eight years in resource use, including paper consumption (down 85.13%), carpeting (54.88%), electricity (38.13%), natural gas (42.55%) and water (40.65%), as well as a 58.89% cut in waste generation.

In addition, in 2025 IFEMA MADRID further enhanced its excellence in information security by implementing and certifying two recognised standards: ISO 27001 and the National Security Scheme (ENS).
