IFEMA closed 2019 with the best financial and management results in its history, recording record turnover of 187.2 million euros (35.1% more than in 2018 and 58.5% more than in 2017), an EBITDA of 40 million euros (44.3% more than the previous year), and a net profit of 22.5 million euros, double that of 2018.
These spectacular results are the result of the growth in activity, with 898 events held during 2019, of which 123 were fairs and congresses with exhibitions, 26 major shows and concerts and 749 congresses, conventions and professional and leisure events. It also achieved record participation figures with 33,292 companies and 4.3 million visitors.
Without doubt, these results confirm IFEMA as one of the great tractors of the economy, and reflect the importance of its activity for the revitalization of all sectors that are involved in their fairs, as well as to support companies in their internationalization and business development. Looking ahead to 2020, trade fairs will be an essential tool for the recovery of the economy.
