FITUR 4all 2026 reinforces the leadership of accessible tourism as a driver of global transformation in the industry
The professional conference of the third edition of the section specialising in accessible tourism is being held, in conjunction with IMPULSA IGUALDAD, on 23 January.
IFEMA MADRID is to hold a new edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair from 21 to 25 January, which for the third consecutive year will be hosting FITUR 4all, developed in collaboration with IMPULSA IGUALDAD.
The professional conference is taking place on 23 January and will consolidate its position as the main forum of reference in accessible tourism, bringing together institutional managers, destinations, companies and international organisations to analyse accessibility as a strategic axis of competitiveness, innovation and positive impact on the industry. In addition, a day of awareness-raising and knowledge workshops for the general public will be held on Saturday 24.
FITUR 4all 2026 will open with a high-level institutional reflection on the new Spain brand, 'Think you know Spain? Think again', which positions the country as a diverse, innovative and accessible destination, placing equal opportunities as a differential element of its tourism proposal in international markets. Within this framework, the positioning of Spain in strategic markets such as the United States and the United Kingdom will be discussed, together with the experiences of national destinations such as Valencia, which show how integrating accessibility with a cross-cutting approach improves the overall quality of the destination and expands markets.
The programme will focus on specific cases of territorial transformation, with Mallorca, sponsor of the section, as an example of a destination that integrates accessibility, sustainability and tourism governance, demonstrating its impact on loyalty and social cohesion. One of the central themes will be social sustainability, with the participation of public officials from Peru, Colombia, Barcelona Provincial Council and Vizcaya, as well as the international vision of the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, reinforcing the idea that there is no sustainability without equal opportunities.
The global dimension will be completed with the participation of benchmark destinations and organisations such as Flanders, Germany and Austria, together with the analysis of data and trends that confirm that accessibility is no longer a niche, but a key factor of competitiveness. In parallel, technology will play a leading role with solutions from iUrban, Visualfy, Navilens and ParkDis, showing how digital innovation can remove barriers and improve people's autonomy.
The day’s proceedings on 23 January 2026 will culminate with the presentation of the 3rd FITUR 4all Awards, which recognise destinations, companies and organisations that are leading the transformation towards more accessible and responsible tourism.
