What is the contribution of the tourism industry to GDP and employment in Namibia?
Tourism is a key pillar of Namibia's economy, contributing about 7% of GDP and providing around 57,500 direct jobs, representing 7.9% of total employment. Namibia is internationally recognised for its sustainable tourism model, with 46% of its land under some form of conservation management, including national parks, communal conservancies and private reserves.
What makes your country appealing to visitors?
Namibia is one of the safest destinations in Africa, making it ideal for self-drive adventures. Visitors can explore the country at their own pace on well-maintained roads, enjoying the freedom to discover Namibia's unique landscapes, from towering red dunes to spectacular coastlines. In addition, our strong conservation ethos allows travellers to experience nature responsibly while supporting sustainable tourism.

What proposals will you be presenting at the trade fair?
Our stand will feature images and videos showcasing Namibia's stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife and rich cultural heritage. The Namibia Tourism Board will be there to promote the destination and its key points of interest, ensuring that visitors discover the unique experiences that Namibia has to offer.
What other activities will be taking place on the stand?
Our stand will be hosting 12 Namibian partners, including Destination Management Companies (DMCs), accommodation providers and car rental services. These partners will be available for B2B networking to explore new opportunities and for B2C engagement, allowing visitors to learn about products and book directly if required. This approach ensures that both trade professionals and consumers can connect with Namibia's tourism products in a meaningful way.
