The section, organised by FITUR together with JN Global Project, will be unfolding an agenda from 21 to 25 January that brings together the tourism industry around diversity.

FITUR LGBT+ will once again be bringing together the LGTBI+ tourism industry with a programme focused on destinations, events and proposals that place diversity as a strategic value for the sector. Organised by FITUR, in collaboration with JN Global Project, the section is holding its new edition in Hall 9 of IFEMA MADRID under the slogan 'Mucho más que turismo' / 'Beyond Tourism'.

The programme will be developed with an agenda aimed at professionals, between Wednesday 21 and Friday 23, offering different presentations, meetings and sectoral content, as well as opportunities for networking. At the weekend, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January, FITUR LGBT+ will be opening its doors to the general public with cultural events, shows and experiences linked to visibility and artistic expression.

Destinations and major events that set the agenda for LGBT+ tourism

The programme will kick off on Wednesday 21 January with a tour of some of the most representative LGTBI+ tourism destinations and events. Madrid and Torremolinos will open the agenda, presenting the main lines of their 2026 programmes, and there will be a special intervention dedicated to the Gay Games XII València 2026, one of the biggest inclusive sporting and cultural events at international level.

Throughout the day, there will also be international and national proposals such as Greater Miami & Miami Beach, which will be sharing its positioning as a benchmark destination, together with consolidated events such as Cullera Beach Pride 2026, with a preview the new additions to its next edition.

The agenda for Thursday 22 January will be focused on cooperation, strategy and the role of destinations as agents of change. REDD (The Spanish Network of Destinations for Diversity) will take stock of the progress achieved during 2025, while Seville will be presenting the work carried out to host the ILGTA 2026. Throughout the day, initiatives such as Orgullo de Comunitat, Ibiza Pride 2026, the Costa Blanca’s successful models, Gandia Pride 2026 or Benidorm, which will share its approach as a year-round LGBTQ+ friendly destination and new destinations such as Los Alcázares, will also be given a voice.

On the same day, there will also be a space for international reflection with the session Future of Queerness in Travel: challenges and opportunities, focusing on the creation of authentic experiences, deeper inclusion and the use of technology to move towards safer, more personalised and sustainable LGTBI+ tourism.

On Friday 23 January, it will be focusing on territories and diversity as an element of identity and a driving force for tourism. The day will begin with Chueca Diversa, which will show the value of the Madrid neighbourhood as a reference point for commerce, culture and diversity, followed by a tour of major events on the LGTBI+ calendar such as Madrid Pride, one of the most important Pride events in Europe and the international LGBT+ event of reference: Mr Gay Spain 2026, which will preview the new features of its next 19th edition.

Throughout the day, different destinations will be sharing their positioning and proposals as benchmarks for inclusive tourism. Almeria will present its potential as an LGTBI destination, while Melilla will address diversity from an intercultural perspective. For its part, Extremadura will be promoting rural tourism as a space also committed to diversity, and Xàtiva will reinforce its visibility as an LGTBI-friendly destination. The day will include a specific session dedicated to trans tourism, led by Transexualia, focusing on the visibility and inclusive experiences aimed at this group.

Culture, shows and artistic expression over the weekend

Over the course of the weekend, FITUR LGBT+ will complete its programme with a cultural and artistic agenda open to the public, in which diversity will be expressed through dance, music, fashion and live performances. The Spanish Network of Destinations for Diversity will promote different cultural proposals, including the performance of the Agrupación Malpaís de la Corona de Lanzarote and the Baile de la Moma de Xàtiva, which will bring to the stage traditions reinterpreted from a diverse point of view.

The programme will also include performances such as Vive Los Alcázares: Mar Menor que vibra con Orgullo, Pink Chadora: North African Pride Dressed in Pink, Show Pride Ibiza, the singer Javi Martín (Gran Canaria), a fashion show by the designer José Perea and a special proposal by Chueca Diversa, which will bring to the stage the identity and commerce of the neighbourhood as a tourism engine of Madrid.
