Carlos Garrido de la Cierva: FITUR 2026 has given a real boost to the activity of Ávoris

"The high level of institutional and professional meetings allowed us to advance strategic agreements, explore new opportunities for 2026 and strengthen trust with key destinations, suppliers and partners.

Could you define Ávoris’ degree of satisfaction with regard to its participation at FITUR 2026?

We are more than happy with our participation in FITUR 2026. It has been a very special edition for Ávoris: we were launching our new identity and we wanted the stand to become a real meeting point within the trade fair. The reception exceeded our expectations.

This past edition allowed us to strengthen relationships, consolidate alliances, open up new business opportunities and clearly project the vision of the future we envisage for tourism: global, integrated and value-oriented.

How many visitors came to your stand and what were the main meetings you held?

We do not have an exact figure in terms of stand visitors; however, we can say that the volume was very significant both during the trade days and over the weekend, when the spaces were themed with brands aimed at the end public.

With regard to meetings, we registered close to 100 pre-arranged business appointments during the trade days. In addition to this number, there was a high volume of spontaneous meetings with professionals, partners and collaborators in the industry, which significantly enriched our presence at the fair.

Throughout the professional trade days, we also received some significcant institutional and corporate visits, including delegations from Morocco and Thailand, as well as representatives from Microsoft, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Mutua Madrid Open (MMO).

What presentations and activities did you host at the trade fair?

At FITUR 2026 we wanted our stand to reflect the spirit of Ávoris: open, innovative and deeply connected to the industry. The space became a very active meeting point, with an agenda that combined institutional meetings, new partnerships and moments of inspiration.

Among the main attractions during the professional days was the presentation of the new Ávoris Travel Insights, focused on travel trends for 2026. The #WeAreAvoris Awards, a recognition of the work of our key industry partners, also featured prominently.

In addition, the programme was rounded off with talks on artificial intelligence, sports marketing and an inspiring talk by renowned Egyptologist Zahi Hawass, who introduced the audience to the cultural wealth of Ancient Egypt. During the weekend we opened the space up to the general public, showcasing the diversity of our brands and travel proposals adapted to new ways of exploring the world.

What momentum and visibility did you achieve during the event?

Our participation in FITUR 2026 has given a real boost to our activity, both in terms of the visibility achieved and the quality of the relationships generated. The high level of institutional and professional meetings allowed us to advance strategic agreements, explore new opportunities for 2026 and strengthen trust with key destinations, suppliers and partners.

The activities we developed reinforced our positioning as a player committed to knowledge, technology and a tourism model that generates value for the entire ecosystem. In addition, opening up to the general public allowed us to connect directly with the end traveller, showing the breadth of our brands and an offer adapted to the new ways of travelling.
