FITUR and SEGITTUR launch the 3rd edition of "The AI for Tourism Awards 2026"

Artificial Intelligence has begun to play a prominent role in the field of tourism, revolutionising the way travellers plan, book and enjoy travel. In view of this growing presence, FITUR and SEGITTUR are organising the third edition of the award for technological solutions for tourism developed with Artificial Intelligence: 'The IA for Tourism Awards 2026'.

It will be held in the setting of the FITUR Know-How & Export section, in recognition of the importance that AI plays in travel management and the tourism industry, which in 2026 will be located in the new Knowledge Hub (Hall 12) of the Trade Fair Centre.

The personalisation of experiences, the management of bookings and customer service, chatbots, facial recognition and translation are just some of the areas in which Artificial Intelligence is present in tourism. It is precisely this penetration that motivates the organisers of this competition which aims to find the best solutions developed with AI, both nationally and internationally, integrated by destinations and companies in the tourism industry to improve the experience of tourists before, during and after the trip.

This third edition will have a single category for the best AI 2026 solution, in which companies from all tourism verticals - hotel chains, airlines, travel agencies, etc. - as well as destinations will be able to compete. The deadline for submitting nominations is 15 December and the awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 22 January 2026 at FITUR Know-How & Export.

Headed by SEGITTUR, the jury will be made up of professionals from the world of tourism and technology who will assess the degree of technological innovation, usability, improvement of the user experience in its different facets, originality and degree of scalability.
