Good practises guidelines for the tourism sector
Good practises guidelines by the Secretariat of State for Tourism to ensure activity in businesses and to protect the health of their staff and clients, given the situation caused by the coronavirus.
Includes specific prevention measures in tourist accommodation: management, reception, technical and maintenance services
The guide -produced by the Secretariat of State for Tourism, under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, coordinated by the Ministry of Health and with industry participation- is a tool to help guarantee activity within businesses or workplaces and also to protect the health of their staff and clients.
The instructions and recommendations given by the Ministry of Health, the “Information Document on the COVID-19 Coronavirus” by the hospitality corporate association HOSBEC, and the Guide to producing an action plan by companies in the face of emergencies approved by CCOO, UGT, CEOE and CEPYME due to the 2009 swine flu pandemic, were all taken into consideration for its production.
In addition to the general basic measures, it includes specific prevention measures in tourism accommodation; and it contemplates the procedures to be followed in the event of an establishment or a room with a confirmed positive case, and the communication and information flow policies. This is an open document to which new information, recommendations or instructions will be added depending on the evolution and expansion of the virus.
