Madrid to host DreamHack, the world's largest international esports festival

DreamHack Madrid 2020 will be held from 10 to 13 December in association with IFEMA in an area covering 50,000 square meters dedicated to the world of esports, with over $350,000 in prize money

DreamHack, the largest international esports and video games festival on the international circuit will be stopping in Madrid for the first time. The event will be held from 10 to 13 December, in association with IFEMA. For four days, attendees can enjoy the heart of the festival, the LAN Party, compete, attend international tournaments and meet their idols, as well as trying the latest in the gaming and esports sector.

From 2020, DreamHack will be moving its second event in Spain from Seville to Madrid, the leading Swedish multinational's first festival in the capital, bringing together unique gaming experiences in a 50,000-square meter space.

The best competitions in the world to come to Madrid

DreamHack Madrid will be the scene of the most prestigious international esports competitions, which will include the last stop on the ESL Pro Tour circuit, featuring the CS:GO DreamHack Open and a $100,000 prize.

In this competition, eight of the best teams in the world will fight it out. There will be two places for national teams, with the event broadcast in more than six languages around the world.

Among the major competitions that DreamHack Madrid will be hosting, it is worth mentioning the HearthStone Masters Tour with $250,000 in prize money. The competition will feature the best players in the world ranked during the previous online phases.

In its first year at IFEMA, DreamHack Madrid will be the festival with the largest prize pool of the season in Spain.

Without LAN there is no DreamHack

As part of the DreamHack festival DNA, the Madrid event will be hosting a LAN area in which more than 1,500 people will be able to come together, play and compete for four days with their own PCs and consoles.

The festival will offer competitions and exclusive activities for all participants, as well as commemorative gifts marking its first year in the Spanish capital.

DreamHack will offer unique experiences for everybody.

The festival will be open to all visitors from 11 to 13 December at IFEMA. Attendees will be able to play the latest video games, enjoy the best national and international esports tournaments, meet their idols, get up-to-date on the latest news from the sector and take part in numerous prize draws and competitions.

DreamHack Madrid will also be offering musical content, as well as an educational and training area where attendees can find out about study and career opportunities in the sector.

From March 23 onward you can purchase tickets for both LAN and festival visitors.
