GALLERIES

The selected work covers the historical avant-garde, the contemporary classics and modern art. The galleries included in the General Programme and those of the commissioned programmes display painting, sculpture, installations, photography, video, new media, drawing and etching.

GENERAL PROGRAMME
A selection of national and international galleries carried out by the Organising Committee of ARCOmadrid 2018.

COMMISSIONED PROGRAMMES
“What is going to happen is not “the future”, but what we are going to do”: the aim of the curators Chus Martínez, Elise Lammer and Rosa Lleó in their selection of galleries will be to turn ARCOmadrid 2018 into a “place that allows us to imagine, produce and propose a view of the complexity that awaits us”.

Dialogues: galleries selected by María de Corral, Lorena Martínez de Corral and Catalina Lozano whose stands present the works of two artists with a connection conceived especially for ARCOmadrid.

Opening: national and international galleries with experience of up to 7 years, in order to bring the Fair artists and scenes. The programme is formed by galleries selected by Steffanie Hessler and Ilaria Gianni.

ACTIVITIES

INTERNATIONAL COLLECTORS’ PROGRAMME
ARCOmadrid 2018 produces an exclusive International Collectors’ Programme. This programme includes exclusive visits to institutions and private collections as well as privileged access to the Fair. ARCOmadrid thereby guarantees the presence of a large group of active collector buyers who, on the proposal of the participating galleries, visit the Fair and bring in business volume.

15TH FORUM OF EXPERTS

FORUM
ARCOmadrid has a place for discussion around current creation and the art market. This is the meeting point of the international artistic community, where prestigious professionals can exchange ideas and projects and interact with the participating galleries to increase their network of contacts.

PROFESSIONAL MEETINGS
Following the success of previous editions, the Professional Meetings are consolidated as a place of exchange for curators and art experts from around the world. Reserved for professionals and only by invitation, these platforms of discussion provide an opportunity to share reflections, to exchange experiences and to project new proposals.
