What is ARCOmadrid 2026?
ARCOmadrid is Spain’s International Contemporary Art Fair which, since its creation, has established itself as one of the main platforms in the contemporary art market. In 2026, it celebrated its 45th edition with ARCO2045: The Future, For Now as its central theme: two spaces within the fair, curated by José Luis Blondet and Magalí Arriola, invited visitors to reflect on possible futures and tentative artistic languages in order to glimpse new horizons.
In addition, the General Programme once again presented artistic content as the main axis of the fair, with galleries and projects selected by the Organizing Committee.
Yet again, the curated sections played a prominent role. Opening. New Galleries, curated by Anissa Touati and Rafa Barber Cortell, brought together a selection of galleries with less than eight years of history. Meanwhile, the Profiles | Latin American Art project, curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy, continued to strengthen the historical link between ARCOmadrid and Latin American art.
