Casa Decor and ARCOmadrid have once again joined forces to strengthen their ties in the fields of contemporary art and interior design by collaborating on the design of Hall 46 at ARCOmadrid 2027, which will be entrusted to the team at Impar Design.

Through this partnership, the two organisations strengthen the links between design, art and interiors, a commitment that will be reflected in a warm, elegant space hosting a range of events during the fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID and taking place from 3 to 7 March.

An ARCOmadrid committee visited the 47 spaces that formed part of Casa Decor 2026 and selected ‘The Journey of Smoke’, the club designed by Impar Design for Impar Grupo.

A space of Brutalist inspiration

To balance the boldness of this aesthetic, the project will incorporate natural-looking finishes, earthy tones and warm lighting. Wall coverings from HERA WALLS, textiles from RIBES & CASALS, and organically shaped furniture from JYSK will soften the look, introducing a more homely and comfortable feel. The proposal will also feature JUNG mechanisms and HÄFELE lighting, elements that will help create an ever-changing, welcoming atmosphere for presentations, meetings and conversations.

Impar Design Studio

Architects Almudena Vello and Joaquín Sanjuán lead Impar Design, a multidisciplinary studio that brings architectural thinking to interior design, creating highly dramatic, scenographic spaces. This has been demonstrated in the six editions of Casa Decor in which the studio has participated.

The studio's portfolio includes residential, hotel, commercial and corporate projects, as well as work on existing buildings. There is a particular focus on comprehensive spatial design, from layout and materials to lighting, furniture and the elements that define a space’s identity.

The studio is part of the Impar Group, which takes a holistic approach to projects, from concept and design through to management and implementation.
