Ventulà invests in a second automated slicing and packaging line. This high-performance dual line enables the company to expand its production and use more sustainable packaging.
After the incorporation in 2020 of a high-performance line with 4.0 technology by GEA Foods, the installation of a second complete slicing line, twin to the previous one, will be completed at the beginning of 2022. Thus culminating a first stage of investment started at the end of 2018 with an amount exceeding 5 million euros....
Ramón Ventulà SA has entrusted Gea as a partner. The equipment consists of a GEA OptiScan 1200 scanning system, slicing with GEA DualSlicer and thermoforming with GEA PowerPak PLUS. This innovative equipment meets the requirements that Ramón Ventulà set for the new strategic line mentioned above: modernity, quality, efficiency and sustainability.
The modernization of its lines allows the reduction of packaging and product wastage; packaging machines adapted to Industry 4.0 and a case packing line prepared for new formats and ready for new, smaller packages and recyclable materials.
Ventulà and GEA started with the objective of achieving better packaging quality and lower plastic consumption. And this has been achieved. It also provides greater process reliability, simplified handling and greater uptime availability.
The company adapts to the trends of digitization of machinery, reduction of packaging material and, in general, to the demands of both national and international markets, since the latter accounts for 50% of the company's production and is mainly aimed at European distribution chains.
