Optima Group takes over the Ice & Pastry branch of Pernigotti
This acquisition is a fundamental step in the company's growth strategy.
Optima, an InterSICOP exhibitor and world leader in the ice cream and pastry sectors thanks to the MEC3, Modecor and Giuso Guido brands, has taken over the Ice & Pastry division of Pernigotti.
The Group considers this operation a fundamental step in its growth strategy, since Pernigotti has been a historical symbol of the Made in Italy sweet industry since 1860. "This takeover strengthens us further in our plans for development and investment in the segments in which we have worked successfully for years in Italy and elsewhere," says CEO Francesco Fattori.
Pernigotti will maintain ownership of the Pernigotti 1860 brand, as well as the entire Novi Ligure (Piedmont) production plant, preserving the production of chocolate, pralines and nougat.
