Welbilt, an exhibitor at InterSICOP, is launching Open Up to Innovation, an EMEA level initiative (Europe, Middle East and Africa) to help restaurants successfully face the "new normal" in light of the coronavirus crisis.

It is a comprehensive solution consisting of the WBT work system, high-tech teams, culinary consulting, business consulting, special financial packages and after-sales. All businesses in the Horeca channel are invited to join the Delivery, Take Away and the Convenience Store models, as they are ideal for optimising delivery and service times, boosting turnover and satisfying customers.

Jean Paul Roudier, Welbilt's Vice President of Sales in EMEA, says: "As we move from Blocked to Open, we must ensure we have an accelerated work system, like the WBT which has a package of features to help the entire catering industry, whether we're talking about a chain of multiple outlets or a small independent restaurant/bar/cafeteria. Since customer distancing is likely to remain a key focus in the short term, this solution highlights the importance of fast set-up and service, speeding up table rotation, keeping queues short, or achieving faster deliveries".
