InterSICOP 2022: the Professional Bakery, Patisserie and Ice-Cream Industry Gets Together Again

The International Bakery, Confectionery, Ice Cream, Coffee and Equipment Fair organised by IFEMA MADRID will take place from 19th to 22nd February.

InterSICOP will be back again in 2022 with its usual face-to-face format under the slogan Hands That Unite Us Through Innovation. Following the success of the online event last March, the International Fair returns to the IFEMA MADRID exhibition venue from 19th to 22nd February 2022. This edition will be the first major meeting of bakery, pastry, ice cream and coffee professionals since lockdown. 

Equipment Special Edition

Under the TECSICOP brand, InterSICOP 2022 will promote the equipment, machinery and technology for the different sectors covered by the Fair. Its goal is to encourage and speed up sales processes and equipment renewal and offer the channel improved efficiency and competitiveness in its production processes.

Great Masters 

One of the highlights at InterSICOP will once again be the programme of technical presentations by renowned master confectioners, ice cream makers and bakers to share their techniques, recipes and research results with visitors. These sessions, like the rest of the programme, will be free of charge for visitors. 

Management, Success Stories and the Women Bakers Forum  

The Fair will also host the InterSICOP Forum again. The Forum is a space for presentations and talks by professionals from different fields and sectors on various topics related to management, marketing, social media, business success stories, production organisation, resource optimisation, and more. 

This edition of the Fair will also include the first Women Bakers Forum. 

The Latest in Machinery and Raw Materials 

InterSICOP will be the showcase for exhibiting companies to display all the new products they are launching on the market, the result of innovation, technological change and progress in each sector. Over four days, attendees can learn about the latest machinery, services, ingredients, products, articles and accessories for bakery, pastry, ice cream and coffee. 

In addition to the stands themselves, the Fair will host the Innovation Forum space for exhibitors to make presentations about their products. 

Ambitious Championships

InterSICOP 2022 will host four major national competitions: MMAPE, for Best Spanish Master Artisan Pastry Chef, the Fourth Spanish Ice Cream Championship, the Third National Student Pastry Championship, and the Fourth Artisan Bakery Championship. 

Promoting Sustainability 

For companies today, sustainability is no longer an option but an obligation. We cannot face the present without committing to the future. Any project that aims to continue over time must base its strategy on respect for the planet and society. So, IFEMA MADRID has published its Guide to Sustainable Participation in Trade Fairs to help companies and operators make their participation in trade fairs an example of good sustainability practices with a positive impact on the environment, the economy and society. This is part of IFEMA’s commitment to enabling the trade fair sector to meet the challenge of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations. 

IFEMA, a Safe Space 

IFEMA MADRID has been working to ensure that all its fairs are safe spaces against COVID-19. In practice, this means it has aprotocol that covers all the necessary safety measures. These measures include organising visitor flows and movement, capacity control, interpersonal distancing, online registration to avoid direct physical contact, temperature checks, wider aisles, and the latest technologies for the attendee counting and, especially, for air renewal in the halls. 

LIVEConnect Platform 

InterSICOP LIVEConnect, the content and networking platform launched in 2020, will continue active during the face-to-face meeting. In this way, the participating companies’ networking, lead generation, and content will be promoted all year round.
