

InterSICOP 2021 is committed to sustainable development
The next edition of InterSICOP, which will take place from 20 to 23 February 2021, will include actions to tackle the main social and environmental problems we are currently facing.
The next edition of InterSICOP, the International Bakery, Pastry, Ice Cream, Coffee and Equipment Show, organised by IFEMA and scheduled to be held from 20 to 23 February 2021 at Feria de Madrid, aims to meet the main challenges facing the bakery, pastry, ice cream and coffee sectors. And, without a doubt, one of the great challenges currently facing these four sectors is sustainability.
Under the motto "Creativity Hand in Hand with Innovation", the show aspires to become an instrument that helps entrepreneurs and traders to improve the customer purchasing experience. For this reason, InterSICOP 2021 will promote eco-responsible offerings to meet the demands of visitors looking for these types of products.
To address the main social and environmental challenges facing society, the next edition of InterSICOP will include a series of actions: collection of surpluses by the Food Bank, management of energy consumption, modular stands, conferences on environmental sustainability and good practices, as well as new activities 3rd Meeting of Women in Bakery & Pastry, Rural Bakery and I Like My Shop that will turn the show into an eco-friendly event.
SICOP EN FEMENINO: 3rd Meeting of Women in Bakery & Pastry
InterSICOP 2021 will especially promote the visibility of the great professionals in the bread and bakery sector, from artisan bakers and pastry chefs to businesswomen and entrepreneurs, managers, researchers and journalists – all with the aim of raising awareness and eliminating any type of gender inequality. In addition, through workshops, demonstrations and awards, the show will promote the incorporation of new generations and the empowerment of women in business management.
SICOP Rural: Rural bakery
InterSICOP2021 seeks to showcase the bakery and pastry trade in rural areas and give a boost to ‘Emptying Spain’. For this reason, during the show, success stories of professionals who practice their trade in small towns will be presented, demonstrating that the rural environment is an opportunity to promote employment and generational change.
