The ice cream and coffee sectors join the bakery and confectionery sectors promote this trade fair that responds to new trends in distribution.
Internationality and innovation, the main priorities at the trade fair.
IFEMA is already working on the eleventh edition of INTERSICOP, which will take place from 19 to 21 February 2017 at halls 12 and 14 of FERIA DE MADRID.
INTERSICOP 2017 will change its name to the International Bakery, Confectionery, Ice Cream and Coffee Event, and will place emphasis on boosting its international outlook and representing innovation in the industry it serves.
Both the ice cream sector and the coffee sector have already been present at previous editions of the trade fair, and will now join the bakery and confectionery sectors to form a trade fair that globally responds to different types of establishments and new trends in distribution. Together, the bakery, confectionery, ice cream and coffee sectors form a very powerful economic sector. The main areas at the trade fair will include equipment and machinery for the preparation, production and conservation, the ovens, equipment and products for storage and dosing of ingredients, the raw materials, intermediate products, ingredients and improvers, frozen doughs and high-end processed products.
As shown by the results of the last edition, which saw participation levels of more than 18,000 professionals from 40 countries, and more than 300 companies from 22 different countries, INTERSICOP has a significant international aspect, which it aims to reinforce by 2017. As the largest and most important trade fair for the industry in the Iberian Peninsula, the trade fair will particularly focus on the Iberian aspect and its role as a bridge with Latin America, with the main actions to achieve this aim being a guest programme, sectorial meetings and a communication and promotion plan.
Furthermore, INTERSICOP 2017 will include an INNOVATION GALLERY to recognise and publicise the large amount of R D I work being developed by the sector, and give leading companies an additional platform to increase their visibility and prestige.
As in previous editions, the programme at INTERSICOP will be complemented by an intense schedule of championships, technical sessions and demonstrations, which will increase the attraction of this event for the bakery, confectionery, ice cream and coffee world that the FERIA DE MADRID holds every two years.
The team organising INTERSICOP 2017 at IFEMA is headed by María Valcarce, Director of the Trade Fair, and Belén Heredero, Sales Director, who will work in close collaboration with the Trade Fair Organising Committee, made up of representatives of both supply and demand in the sector.
