A new campaign, promoted by the IDI and the Associació de Forners i Pastissers, encourages the purchase of pastries in artisanal establishments.

The Ministry of Energy Transition and Productive Sectors of the Balearic Islands will be distributing material to the 240 establishments in Mallorca that have joined with the “Pan de Aquí, horno y tradición” (“Local Bread, oven and tradition”) brand so that they promote traditional baked goods and pastries. These are displays with images to publicise the wide range of typical island pastries that are traditionally made during the different festivities of the year. The aim is to promote the purchase of these products in artisanal establishments, given that Easter and the patron saint festivals are an indispensable source of income to sustain the sector.

This campaign is an initiative promoted by the IDI (Institute of Business Innovation of the Balearic Islands), an entity reporting to the Ministry, together with the Associació de Forners and Pastissers de les Illes Balears, which requested an initiative to publicise the sector's work to keep culinary traditions alive throughout the year.
