The Spanish Bakery, Pastry & Confectionery Industry Association (ASEMAC) will hold its 8th Discussion Meeting on 22nd February. It will take place during InterSICOP 2022, the International Bakery, Pastry, Ice Cream, Coffee & Equipment Exhibition, held at IFEMA MADRID from 19th to 22nd February.
Felipe Ruano, chairman of ASEMAC, will chair this meeting, which will begin with a presentation by Verónica Rivière, executive chair of GasIndustrial, who will discuss the current situation and forecasts in the energy market. Mercedes Ruiz, general manager of Aestivium, will present about the current situation and forecasts about the bakery ingredients markets.
This will be followed by a panel discussion on the regulatory challenges directly affecting the sector. Paloma Sánchez (FIAB director of competitiveness and sustainability) will chair the discussion on Future Waste & Packaging Regulations. Silvia Martín (technical and regulatory director of ASEMAC) will chair the panel about Future Ingredients, Labelling & Other Regulations, and Javier Salinas (associate at Ramón y Cajal Abogados) will discuss Food Chain Legislation. The closing speech will be by José Miguel Herrero, General Director of Industry and Food Markets of MAPA.
