Supracafé explores the potential of coffee bean husk

The Tabifruit tea range has excellent antioxidant properties.

To obtain more sustainable products and maximise resources, Supracafé, an exhibitor at InterSICOP, is manufacturing Tabifruit tea, which is made with coffee bean husk. This delicious drink is a great source of antioxidants and comes in four varieties: 100% Arabica coffee husk tea, coffee husk and berry tea, coffee husk, passion fruit and orange tea, and coffee husk, orange and cinnamon tea.

The many by-products of coffee production were treated as waste until recently, and also entail a risk of pollution in producing countries. Hence the Supracafé initiative to process husks and propose viable technological solutions to make them useful.
