The fruit and vegetable company is achieving 20% annual growth in berry sales, thanks to its global strategy. As its Production Manager, Ana Claramunt, explains, "We have a great team of experts and an excellent varietal program that we grow both in our own farms and in those of our DaiGrowers, located in different geographical areas, thus covering all 52 weeks of the year. In addition, we have infrastructure and a strong logistics network both at origin and destination, which allows us to guarantee product quality throughout the supply chain."

Last season in its Polish productions they had 55 hectares of hydroponic system and integrated cultivation, 5 ha of raspberry, 30 ha of blueberry and 20 ha of strawberry. For this season, which started a few weeks ago, they have cultivated 11 additional hectares of raspberry and 6 more hectares of blueberry. They also have an expansion plan for the coming years with another 280 hectares, 120ha of raspberries and 160ha of blueberries.

Regarding their production in Morocco, located in Agadir, they currently have 65 hectares of raspberries, which will be expanded in the coming years to 150 hectares, 125 hectares of blueberries and 25 hectares of raspberries.

As producers and suppliers of fresh produce, one of their core values is sustainability. For this reason, they invest in agro-technology, as is the case with their hydroponic "table-top" cultivation under tunnel. "This system brings us multiple advantages, both from an agronomic and labor point of view. It makes harvesting easier for our workers and at the production level it offers important water savings, increasing efficiency and allowing us to use 93% of the fruit as first class. In addition, we are committed to biological control, thus reducing the use of chemicals," says Ana Claramunt.

"We are convinced that this project has no limits. We have been seeing the demand for our berries grow for several years, which has allowed us to open new markets and customers who trust us and our project. Therefore, we will continue investing in our productions, creating agreements with more DaiGrowers and cultivating new varieties. All this, so that our customers can offer quality berries at a competitive price" adds Dariusz Jakubowski, CEO of Daifressh.
