Fruit Attraction 2021 celebrated its 13th edition with the participation of 65,000 professionals from 110 countries, thus exceeding the objectives and expectations set by IFEMA MADRID, and signifying the return of international fairs in the fruit and vegetable sector. This exceptional event has been a determining factor for the industry as a whole due to its ability to bring together professionals with maximum decision-making capacity, confirming itself as the right place at the right time for campaign planning; the world's benchmark event for planning the year 2022.

Organised by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, Fruit Attraction 2021 was held from 5 to 7 October with the participation of 1,300 companies from 43 countries. More than 40,000 net square metres of supply from the entire value chain in halls 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the exhibition centre turned Madrid into the world fruit and vegetable capital for three intense days.

The Fair ratifies itself as a fundamental instrument for global fruit and vegetable marketing and its capacity to promote world exports in the sector, being the commercial connection point for the whole group of professionals that make up the entire value chain and the framework for market innovation.

Innovation Hub

One more year, Fruit Attraction recognized innovation and entrepreneurship with the Innovation Hub Awards.

A total number of 36 products compose this section. Out of the candidacies, of experts and renowned industry professionals had the complex task to select 16 finalists. The evaluation criteria are: Applicability, Innovation, Environmental Sustainability and Social Value Proposal.

The winning products were selected during a final ceremony of the Innovation Hub 2021 Awards, getting recognition for the best project in three categories, Fresh Produce and F&V Industry, Environment and sustainability actions.
