Greenkeeper Iberia has received the VI SME of the Year Award Madrid 2022
Banco Santander and the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, in collaboration with the Chamber of Spain and the newspaper El País, have decided to award its VI SME of the Year Madrid 2022 Award to Greenkeeper Iberia on May 1, 2022.
This award recognizes the performance of small and medium-sized companies, whose activity is fundamental for the creation of opportunities, the capacity to expand to other markets or the introduction of improvements in their products or production processes, which leads to the generation of wealth in Spain.
It is important to highlight that the SMEs based in Madrid have led many of the world indexes to place the Spanish capital among the best cities to invest in.
Among the 125 nominations received in this sixth edition of the SME of the Year Award, Greenkeeper stood out for investing more than 10% of its turnover in R&D&I and, above all, for our awareness of the need to reduce our carbon footprint through the use of recycled and biodegradable materials, our equality plan to guarantee non-discrimination in salaries and our consolidation in more than 50 countries, which has made us a world leader in the manufacture and distribution of ethylene absorbent products.
The award was presented by the President of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Ángel Asensio, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Community of Madrid, Manuel Llamas, and the Deputy Mayoress of the Madrid City Council, Begoña Villacís, and other authorities such as the Director of Companies of the Territorial Delegation of Banco Santander in Madrid, Francisco Rubio, and Isabel Puig, President of the SME Commission of the Chamber of Spain.
