The King and Queen of Spain open ARCOmadrid 2026
ARCOmadrid 2025, the International Contemporary Art Fair organised by IFEMA MADRID, held the official opening ceremony of its 45th edition this morning, presided over by the King and Queen of Spain.
The event was attended by Ernest Urtasun Doménech, Spain’s Minister of Culture; Francisco Martín Aguirre, Government Delegate in Madrid, Jordi Martí Grau, Secretary of State for Culture, and the Delegate for Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Madrid City Council, Marta Rivera de la Cruz. Also present were José Vicente de los Mozos, President of the Executive Committee of IFEMA MADRID; Daniel Martínez, Executive Vice-President of IFEMA MADRID, Arancha Priede; General Director of Trade Fair and Congress Business at IFEMA MADRID, Maribel López, Director of ARCOmadrid; along with numerous figures from the institutional and cultural sectors.
From 4 to 8 March, ARCOmadrid will bring together 211 galleries from 30 countries to consolidate its position as the key event on the international art calendar. In this edition, the fair features ARCO2045: the future, for now, as its central project, alongside the curated sections Opening. New galleries and Profiles | Latin American Art.
The fair will open its doors to the general public on Friday 6 March from 3.00 pm, after two days exclusively for professionals..
