SYMPOSIUM #FUTURO
Friday, February 23rd from 12.30 pm to 8 pm – FORUM – Hall 9

Caressing the Future
A TRIBUTE TO THE GREAT BOLA DE CRISTAL
It is becoming more and more apparent that we need different languages to address the complex problems the future has in store for us. But the language, notions and arguments built with it are strongly dependent on perception. Which is why experience is the crux of this forum. The same way that we are beginning to understand that with art and artists the creation of empathies and sympathies, whereby culture forms an essential part of the natural universe rather than the contrary, constitutes the fundamental step needed for the emergence of ideas that are also different, the same is needed for the creation of policies that regulate our relationships with democracy.
The seminar will be divided into two simple parts going from the individual to the universal. A morning session with artists and professionals that will discuss what we might imagine, what we want to do, what we can change in our most immediate contexts, in our country. And an evening session that will begin with an intervention by Timothy Morton, environmental expert, based on an idea by Rosa Ferré on the possibility of introducing a Ministry of the Future, the ministry of new relationships with our planet, with us.
Transformation of the space: Álvaro Urbano.
