

MBFWMadrid Celebrates 40 years of Fashion, Talent and Future from September 17 to 21.

Spain’s leading fashion platform commemorates four decades with a landmark edition featuring major names such as Silvia Tcherassi, Palomo, Adolfo Domínguez and Juan Vidal, among others.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid marks its 40th anniversary this September, from the 17th to the 21st, with a very special edition presenting Spring /Summer 2026 collections. More than just a date on the fashion calendar, this edition looks back on the history of Spanish fashion and sets its sights firmly on the future. Organized by IFEMA MADRID with the support of the Madrid City Council, this edition ushers in a new era, featuring a renewed program structured into three main blocks: OFF Schedule Shows, Showcases, and the General Runway Program held at Hall 14.1 of the IFEMA MADRID exhibition center
This milestone edition reaffirms, MBFWMadrid’s commitment to the Spanish fashion industry, spotlighting creativity, sustainability, craftsmanship, and internationalization as its core values—presenting a vibrant platform where both tradition and innovation converge, and where national talent takes the spotlight.
This renewed momentum is underscored by a 30% increase in designer applications compared to the previous edition and nearly 40% more interest in EGO, the platform dedicated to emerging talent. Once again, MBFWMadrid will also reopen to the general public, with tickets available via the official website.

OFF Schedule Shows at Cristal Gallery at the Palacio de Cibeles
The 40th anniversary edition will kick off on the 17 September with OFF Schedule shows held at the striking Glass Gallery of the Palacio de Cibeles. Five standout international names will feature throughout the day.
The day opens with Silvia Tcherassi, the international guest designer, known for blending art and elegance. Palomo follows with a presentation at The Palace Hotel Madrid, spotlighting one of the most influential voices in Spanish fashion today. Next comes Pedro del Hierro, a heritage house recognized for its accessible luxury and timeless elegance. The afternoon continues with Adolfo Domínguez, a pioneer of minimalism and sustainability in Spain, and closes with Simorra, renowned for its fusion of high-quality craftsmanship, textile architecture and functional femininity.
Shows in the city will begin on Monday 15, with a preview show by UDIT, the University of Design, Innovation and Technology. On Wednesday afternoon, Félix Ramiro, Pilar Dalbat and Rafael Urquízar will presents their collection in city locations. The day will conclude with Juan Vidal and Erroz who will showcase their collections in a special Showcase format.
Hall 14.1 at IFEMA MADRID
The General Program starts on Thursday 18 September with a vibrant show by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. She’s followed by Claro Couture with couture-driven proposals, The Label Edition, an independent brand rooted in timelessness and sophistication, París64, a premium accessories and artisanal brand; and Yolancris, which reinterprets fashion with a modern sensibility and handcrafted spirit. The day concludes with two late-evening shows, including a TBC brand and Flabelus, the artisanal footwear brand, making its runway debut in a performance format.
Friday 19 brings a lineup blending talent, heritage and innovation: the creative duo De la Cierva y Nicolás, the refined femininity of Isabel Sanchis, the glamour of Hannibal Laguna, The afternoon continues with Custo Barcelona, whose bold visual language and vibrant use of color and pattern are unmistakable; Baro Lucas, bringing refined textile experimentation; and Lola Casademunt by Maite, with her vibrant, sophisticated take on prêt-à-porter.
On Saturday 20, shows will open with a performance by designer María Lafuente, followed by a second performance by Paloma Suárez. The program continues with Fely Campo, known for bridging tradition and modernity; Odette Álvarez with her expression of contemporary femininity; and swimwear innovator Dolores Cortés. ay will close with Malne, offering a vision of modern haute couture, and Ángel Schlesser, a symbol of refined minimalism, following the presentation of the L’Oréal Paris Award.
The 40th anniversary celebrations will close on Sunday 21 with the EGO platform, spotlighting Spain’s next generation of designers. This season’s line-up includes SLV FRR, Antonio del Canto Dimoni Studio, Skinsfromtheinsideofmymouth, Antonio Acuario, Asier Quintana, Emeerree, Studio Cumbre and Guillermo Décimo—all presenting innovative proposals and competing for the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent Award. The prize will be announced after the final show of the day, presented by Aleš Hnátek, the international designer from Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week
EGO will once again feature a showroom for emerging brands, reinforcing its role as a crucial showcase for young talent. This season represents a qualitative leap for the platform, as it heads toward its own 20th anniversary in the next edition.
