NARS Excellence Awards
NARS, the iconic professional beauty brand and global benchmark for creativity, announces the first edition of the NARS Excellence Awards, a recognition created to celebrate the designers who are defining the future of Spanish fashion. The awards will be presented during the upcoming MBFW, reinforcing the brand's commitment to innovation, artistic expression and contemporary culture.
Inspired by international initiatives that drive the evolution of the industry, the NARS Excellence Awards were created to highlight those creators whose vision redefines the aesthetic and emotional codes of contemporary design.
An award for the new icon on the national scene
The NARS jury—made up of professionals from the worlds of fashion, beauty and creativity—will be responsible for selecting and awarding the "New Icon", recognising designers capable of transcending boundaries and bringing a contemporary perspective to the global scene.
The assessment criteria focus on three fundamental pillars:
- Creativity. A solid aesthetic proposal, a recognisable visual identity and a narrative capable of connecting with the cultural sensibility of the moment.
- Innovation. New approaches to design, materials, processes or experiences that push the boundaries of what is possible in fashion.
- Cultural impact. A vision that engages with society: diversity, inclusion, representation, authenticity, and the ability to generate conversation.
Recognition and support for the winner
The designer, winner of the NARS Excellence Awards, will present his complete collection on the official catwalk at Madrid Fashion Week during the next edition.
As part of the prize, NARS will cover all expenses for this year's fashion show, as well as providing creative support to the designer with:
- Make-up direction by the NARS Artistry team.
- Editorial support and presence in associated media.
