Summers in the City (Veranos de la Villa) suggests shifting how and where a fashion collection is usually presented by staging a static show in an unusual setting. María Ke Fisherman will present its spring-summer collection 2020 on the Toledo Bridge in Madrid, where the audience will actually parade among the models. María Ke Fisherman is a firm created by María Lemus and Víctor Alonso. The designs, almost futuristic and always ground-breaking, are inspired by online urban subcultures and shared tastes and interests: electronica, Yakuza film, Japanese kawaii culture etc. Technological materials and hand-crafted finishes combine tradition and modernity in pieces that reflect the reality of living in a globalised world, in the throes of the digital era and the empowerment of women in our societies.
