In summer 2020, colour pushes through a battalion of black and white, like in the film ‘Mon Oncle’ by Jacques Tati. Semantic use of colour, helping to create a certain mood, sharpening the realism of soft colours as opposed to saturated strident colours. Colour only appears on certain garments, with pops of bright red, pink and a filtered eucalyptus green.

A nod to the silhouettes of 1958, when the New Look burst onto the scene and to the way that the French film director incorporated colour into his work.
