From 12 to 14 September 2023, IFEMA MADRID will host the event with the participation of institutions, companies, industry associations and national and international experts.

Following the international acclaim achieved at its launch in June 2022, GMC chooses the Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, to confirm its commitment to bring together the strategies and objectives of all sectors committed to sustainable, clean and inclusive mobility, and to promote new business models.

Following the success of its first edition, the Global Mobility Call will hold its second congress from 12 to 14 September 2023. It will reaffirm its objective to address challenges and provide solutions to drive more sustainable mobility, within the framework of cleaner, safer and more inclusive economic, environmental and social development.

IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub will join forces to host this big event, once again supported by the Ministry for Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda. It will promote multisectoral relations between companies, institutions, associations and experts, connecting them with the main players in sustainable mobility of people and goods at both national and international level.

Global Mobility Call is establishing itself as a strategic event to position Spain as the international hub for sustainable mobility, in a context of opportunities for business development and investment, fostered by the NextGenerationEU funds, the biggest incentive ever seen in Europe, as well as the European Green Deal, the roadmap to making Europe the first carbon-neutral continent by 2050.

This second edition of the Global Mobility Call has a holistic and crosscutting focus. It is a new networking opportunity for representatives from sectors such as telecommunications, digital development, automotive, transport, infrastructure, energy, finance, logistics, raw materials, legal field, services, Real Estate, insurance, e‑commerce, retail and health.

There is also the role of innovative spaces, with more sustainable mobility each time, as well as the role of academic institutions, startups, consultancies and the work of multiple experts throughout the world.

An event with great international reach

The Global Mobility Call was once again present at the most important event in the world for sustainable initiatives, the COP27 Climate Summit, which is being held in Sharm El‑Sheikh (Egypt) this year.

Indeed, it was the venue chosen for the presentation of its second event, with the participation of José Luis Samaniego, head of the Sustainable Development and Human Settlements Division, Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean; Bhavreen Kandhari, founder of Warrior Moms; Miguel Muñoz, head of Climate Policy and Partnerships at Iberdrola; and moderated by Mariana Castaño, expert in climate communication and member of the Global Mobility Call organisation.

The presentation at COP27 underlined the international focus of Global Mobility Call and its partners, making it a great opportunity to forge new partnerships between sectors as diverse as clean energy producers, UN experts and NGOs that defend the right to breathe clean air. COP27 is being held under the theme of "the age of implementation", precisely the spirit of Global Mobility Call, to promote dialogue and synergies between the stakeholders of the sustainable mobility economy in order to reduce polluting emissions that cause climate change and to improve people's quality of life.

This new Global Mobility Call event will once again feature two areas: GMC Congress, which will bring together international experts from both the institutional and business spheres of the various sectors involved, and GMC Expo, the forum designed to connect sustainable mobility stakeholders, create opportunities and new business models and present the latest innovations from the different sectors represented at the fair, which last year attracted 5,616 attendees and 13,000 professionals online from 16 countries. It will also feature the LIVE Connect platform, on which to connect with the digital community of sustainable mobility from all over the world.
