Global Mobility Call is organising Spain’s first major micromobility congress in partnership with CLIME and Getafe City Council
On 2 October, Clime Summit 2026 will bring together public authorities, businesses and experts to address the regulatory, technological and development challenges facing micromobility at a crucial juncture for the sector.
Global Mobility Call, the leading international platform for sustainable mobility promoted by IFEMA MADRID, is reinforcing its commitment to the development of new mobility models by joining the organisation of Clime Summit 2026, the first congress dedicated exclusively to micromobility to be held in Spain. The event, organised in partnership with CLIME and Getafe Town Council, will take place on 2 October at the Espacio Mercado in Getafe.
The three organisations today showcased their partnership with a group photograph taken during the official launch of the event, reflecting a shared vision: to promote micromobility as a key tool for moving towards more sustainable, connected and efficient cities.
The congress comes at a particularly significant time for the sector. Renfe’s recent decision to once again allow electric scooters on most of its services, together with the entry into force of new approval, registration and identification requirements for Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMVs), places micromobility at the heart of the debate on urban mobility and intermodality.
At the same time, the industry faces significant regulatory challenges. The forthcoming implementation of the mandatory certification regulations for VMPs, scheduled for 2027, is causing uncertainty amongst manufacturers, operators and users, particularly in certain vehicle categories. Against this backdrop, Clime Summit 2026 will serve as a forum for analysis and reflection to address the impact of regulation, opportunities for innovation and the forms of collaboration required to ensure the sector’s sustainable growth.
