Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid presents its strategy for the upcoming AW26/27 edition to national talent

The catwalk is evolving in line with industry needs, strengthening its position as a major platform for Spanish and European fashion.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the leading Spanish fashion catwalk organised by IFEMA MADRID with support from Madrid City Council, has added NARS as a main sponsor. This strategic collaboration is ushering in a new stage to elevate and strengthen creativity and the positioning of professional make-up on Spain's greatest design platform.

MBFWMadrid has held a key meeting with designers and representatives of the fashion world, during which the strategies and main innovations for the Autumn/Winter 26/27 edition, to be held from 18 to 21 March 2026, have been announced. The event, held at Forbes House, was attended by more than 70 trade professionals, both in person and remotely, underscoring growing interest in Spain's premier fashion event. The event was introduced by Arancha Priede, General Director of Trade Fair and Congress Business at IFEMA MADRID. It featured presentations by the director of MBFWMadrid, Asier Labarga, and its creative director, Valentina Suárez-Zuloaga. It was closed by Olga Ruiz Castillo, General Director of Commerce and Hospitality of the City Council of Madrid.

The fashion extravaganza, organised by IFEMA MADRID with support from Madrid City Council, is in the throes of strengthening its impact and adapting to the current dynamics of the sector. The objective is to advance firmly to position itself as one of the great international platforms and consolidate as one of the most influential creative epicentres in Europe.

As part of this strategy, MBFWMadrid has presented a differentiated schedule, with increased presence in the city, new participation modes, and greater international openness through specialised press, buyers, and new opportunities for designers. The upcoming season will also feature a Guest International Designer, new awards to boost the industry and creativity, and an expanded craft area that will highlight one of the distinguishing features of Spanish design.

In addition, NARS, an iconic professional makeup brand, was introduced as the new main sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The brand will be the official catwalk makeup brand and, as the exclusive sponsor of the category, will help boost the creativity, artistic expression, and talent that define MBFWMadrid.
