The September edition will mark the beginning of a new chapter for MBFWMadrid, aiming to completely renew the event and showcase national talent beyond our borders.

As part of its 40th anniversary, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid presents an edition defined by an ambitious structural and strategic transformation. The upcoming event, taking place from September 17 to 21, 2025, will be much more than a celebration; it will mark the start of a new era for the Spanish runway.

Momentum from the National Scene

Within its new strategy, MBFWMadrid seeks to strengthen its influence on the national scene through strategic partnerships with leading fashion media outlets, ensuring comprehensive event coverage. This edition will see greater media involvement, both in coverage and special activations within the renewed Cibelespacio, which will offer more ambitious and experiential proposals.

International Growth

This transformation stems from a firm commitment to evolving a platform for designer fashion that not only inspires but also projects and generates real impact. Therefore, this edition will enhance its international visibility by welcoming media from key markets such as France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Latin America, and the United States. Additionally, the presence of strategic international buyers will boost the event’s commercial profile, allowing designers to view it as a business gateway to the global market.

Backstage: More Functional and Renewed

In this edition, the backstage workspaces will also be renewed. The backstage area will be more sustainable, comfortable, and efficient, incorporating expanded dressing rooms, dedicated shooting zones, and a larger hair and makeup area, with the goal of optimizing production processes and elevating the experience of creative teams.

For all these reasons, MBFWMadrid is initiating this transformation process after months of dialogue with designers and industry stakeholders to continue growing and optimizing the event. Thus, this edition is not just an anniversary—it is a statement of intent for the runway to be a real meeting point connecting creativity, business, and culture.

The September edition will be the first visible step in a more ambitious strategy that will gradually unfold over time.
